Don’t forget the dog! Our dog soap uses the same great base of oils as our regular soaps, with the addition of shea butter and almond oil to help with their coats. This is a goat milk soap also, with soothing oatmeal, rich honey from our beehives and a light, fresh scent.
We use this on all of our dogs here on the farm… from the tiny Maltese, to the bouncy slick coated German Shepherd, to the wooley thick furred Great Pyrenees. Just wet their coat thoroughly, rub the bar all over and massage in to create a great lather all the way down to their skin. Avoid their eyes and mouth. Rinse well.
Bought my first bar several years ago directly from the farmers market while visiting New Bern. After first use I on our doxie mix I was amazed, second use I was hooked..This is a good lathering wash that thoroughly but gently cleanses. It leaves our dogs coats shiny and healthy looking with no irritation and a long lasting fresh scent that isn't "perfumy".
This soap is great! It lathers nicely and smells wonderful.
We decided to get another pup in December. Trying this for the first time. Excited it's all natural. Little guy smelled wonderfull all week.
I tried this soap out on my old, chubby blue heeler who had been many moons without a good scrub. This soap lathers great and it was easy to work into her thick double coat. The bits of oatmeal add some texture that makes it easy to hold onto the bar (this can be a thing when trying to keep your favorite pet in the tub!). It was easy to rinse out and left a nice, light, pleasant sent afterwards. Two thumbs up!
